I know I just reblogged this but I want to share a quick story. One time in high school the class was playing that game where one person is given something secret to say and it’s whispered from one person to the next, to show how information gets distorted. The guy next to me whispered in my ear so fast I couldn’t understand ANYTHING he said. I asked him to repeat it twice more, and I still didn’t catch a word of what he said. I immediately didn’t know what to do and, panicking, I didn’t want to be seen as weird for somehow messing up the game so I just blurted, “I don’t want to play anymore!” and put my head down on my desk. The game continued without me and I think I stayed that way for about 15 minutes until school let out. 💀 Looking back I could’ve told the person next to me, “I have no idea what he said” and the result would have been hilarious. Anxiety can really ruin a good time. :(
